What kind of leather do you use?
I use full-grain vegetable-tanned leather. It’s durable, beautiful, and ages well. Each piece may have marks or variations because it is a natural material.
Is the leather waterproof?
No. I do however use a water resistant finish on top.
Do you make everything yourself?
Yes, I make everything myself from my basement workshop. All wood is engraved and cut on my laser. The majority of leatherwork is done by hand, sometimes I use in-house tools/machinery. Any leather stitched is done by hand.
What do you use for machinery?
I have a K40 Laser used for cutting and engraving wood, leather, and various other materials. I also have a Cricut I use for leather, vinyl decor, and other materials.

Custom Orders
Do you accept custom work?
Yes! Many of our items can be personalized with names, symbols, or custom messages. For special requests, just reach out via our contact form or email us directly at info@blackcatcraftworks.com
Can I customize a gift?
Absolutely. Customizations are perfect for birthdays, anniversaries, or just-because. We can add a name, phrase, or even create something entirely unique. Let us know what you have in mind!
How long do custom orders take?
Turnaround time varies by season and complexity. Generally speaking, bigger items and items that are stitched take longest. We'll always do our best to meet your timeline and keep you updated.

Shipping & Delivery
Where do you ship?
We currently ship within the United States. If you're international, please visit our Etsy shop, where we offer worldwide shipping.
How long will it take to receive my order?
Most ready-to-ship items go out within 1–3 business days. Custom orders may take longer. Once shipped, delivery typically takes 3–7 business days via USPS.
Do you offer local pickup?
At this time, we do not offer in-person pickup. However, we do attend craft fairs and markets around New England — follow us on social media to see where we’ll be next!

Returns & Exchanges
What’s your return policy?
We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.
We gladly accept returns on non-custom items in like-new condition. Custom or personalized orders are final sale.
Do you offer exchanges?
Yes, if the item qualifies for a return and you'd prefer a different piece, we’re happy to work with you. Just send us a message!
Who pays for return shipping?

What happens with damages or issues upon arrival?

Our name is a nod to the strange, the mystical, the handmade, and a Final Fantasy character that inspired it all. We blend folklore, fantasy, and timeless craft into each creation.
